2008/2009 couldn't change it if we tried
Many things amaze me.
How a baby first learns to speak his first words, how people actually engage in language, how every word has an actual meaning, the invisible forces and emotions that words fail to express, how one minute you can be exuberant, and the next you can feel like flinging your head into a wall.
Amazed at the human body and its intricate, intelligent design. i'm so amazed with God's faithfulness, and our faith towards him, how we Christians defy seeing is believing. How people are blessed with such talent, and can string such utterly beautiful words together and call it music and poetry. How some people's hands move so artfully and just make something big out of something so small.
And of the colour and vibrancy, how things are made of substance, and every calculation of the universe, solar system planets and orbits are so exact, and how everything moves in synchrony and harmony.
Lastly, I am amazed at how time flies, and how a matter of one day, an hour, a minute, a
second, can be seperate one year from another.
As the curtain for 2008 closes, and the door to 2009 opens, I just want to wish everyone reading this, a happy new year. But think of what 2008 has held for you. Personally, its been more of a great year than a crap year. The highlights of this year...

Baby sitting
Baby sitting is not easy.
I spent my whole day babysitting Jer, because his kindergarden closed for the day.
Went over at 9.30. Supposed to finish at 10.30 but instead, we went for lunch, then hung around some more until 3. At lunch, Justin brought him to the playroom, then he refused to leave, So when Justin made him come back, he didn't like Justin. Then he kept crying for me(WOW SO SWEET RIGHT!)
Yep, so i attempted to eat lunch with Jeremy on my lap. Aiyyo. Haha he's so cute la. Everytime I tried to put him down, he would cling on harder. After lunch, brought him to the playroom. I was so tired. Then after that we went back to Hythe road and put him down for a nap. I dozed off as well. When I woke up, Justin wanted to go to Reuben's house(AGAIN!) yep. Then he left me to take care of Jerry by myself.
Cuz PorPor went to send him down, then after his nap, Jerry needed to go potty, then i was alone in the house, and out of desperation I called mum who was laughing all the way. Yeah! Then i didn't know when he was finished, cuz he peed in his diapers, then he started leaning on me. Then i had to carry the wet baby all over the place then i was like omg! Eeek. then PorPor came back, i was playing a game with jerry. He threw the ball at me, then i caught it and threw it back, then he will laugh. game!(:
Anyway, I cycled home in the hothothot sun. :( Mummy's so mean.
She says its good to learn, good for future experience. You should hear the way justin talks about fish, its just retarded.
Then mum brought me to Popular to spend the remaining $97 from her $2000 budget from hospital. We wound up spending $143. And we exceeded the $97 by $46. Haha, ironica cuz mum was like. how much stationery can you buy at Popular! haha. :D
After that, we went to pick justin up. then I talked to Rachel, and she showed me Alison's house. Yep. Haha, their dog is so friendly. Moby! :D Then when we were leaving, Ryan came down, so we said, Hi i mean bye. HAHAHAH.
Dinner was at PorPor's house. Wow that timothy ang li yang is SERIOUSLY addicted to the teevee! He won't respond when you call his name. And he doesn't really address us as Jie/Kor, he calls us by name. Like wow right. Ah. Then when we're watching tv, he'll see the show we're watching, and if he doesn't like it, he'll snatch the remote away from us and then change the channel. So... rude. Augh. He leaves dinner halfway to watch tv. Omg the kid's deprived.

Speak to me, Speak.
Both my computers are letting me down... Buhlee. K anyway. I shall post about yesterday's Christmas party. Well, i hope everyone had a swell time. Though yeah, it was a tad bit awkward at first. Let's see.
Jian hao came first. HAHA. We were watching Friends at that time. Yeah. Then Kristel came, then the guys went out to play soccer (as usuuuaaal) Yep. I think Nat's baking is AWESOME. her Christmas cookies are da bomb.
Yep. so we talked a while and resolved to playing Uno attack, which wasn't that fun, then Grace and Faith came, then a whole lot more others, and we stopped playing cuz the game took forever. Yep. Then eer, we played Taboo. Which in my opinion, is the best game ever. Its tons of laughs. Yepp. So that kinda warmed people up.
Then we went to eat. The food was awesome la. We catered Northern Indian food. So Tandoori chicken and naan. BLISS PLEASE (: Yep. then after that we er.. Sort of mingled and talked? Gave the tour of the house, then Grace and Rachel had to leave early, so then we had a taboo showdown with the guys, and we beat them hands down.

The guys were drinking alcohol, Jolly Shandy and such and they got drunk, the smart people. So because they lost taboo to us, they had to sing Fabulous for us really, but they ran away, and we chased them up. Then the drunkards locked themselves into Justin's room. That was when the shouting match started.
Mum gets scary mad.

Can't say I'm too happy with this year's Christmas though.
Last night wasn't an emotional high, as i expected it to be. I dunno. the kids were all just silent and staring at each other. Mmm. Abigail. Woooow. Srsly, that 9 year old is one spoilt kid. She has Dolce and Gabanna dresses okay! And she got a purple gold bracelet, and ermmm, an iPod when she was five. Her mum gives her make up now.
Like wow seriously. Wow okaay. Her mum got some new expensive bag, then the adults were asking her, So do you like your mum's new bag? "No, I think its ugly! I'd rather get her Prada bag!"
omg what. When I was 9, I don't think I even knew what a Prada was. But who gets a Dolce dress?! When you're 9?! Woooow ok, woow. Yep. so we spent our time entertaining her. Then it was raining. so the park was wet. The boys played some footsie.
They had this game where Irwyn was on the swing, and then Justin threw the ball real hard at him, and Irwyn kicked it, it rebounded on to Justin's chest. THE LOSER! I think this is the first year without us playing Hot and Cold. Hahah :D Mmmm.
Then I can't say much about presents, since i'm trained not to receive them... Last year JJ and Julian got us HSM merchandise. This year it was Hannah Montana AND HSM. HAHA. But its a notebook, so I guess that's fairly practical. Whereas Abigail got her presents then sat down and started whining about how this Christmas was lousy because she didn't like her presents.
Justin on the other hand, is finding this year's Christmas miserable. He didn't get anything he wanted. Today he broke down, cried and threw a tantrum because dad and mum decided no to get the Wii + Guitar Hero.
I think he's kind of unaware that we're in the middle of a credit crunch. Mmm. OH! Anette's in SYF next yeaar. Hey MGS gets Zaki for choreo as well. Woow. Where's the school pride huh.
HEY HE PRAISES IJ OK. like wow right... K anyway. Yep. Some people just totally ruin Christmas.
And my friends aren't here. So yea, and church wasn't really everything I expected. Haha, I MUST go say hi to people more... Nevermind. New Year's then...

Okay. So yep. I had lots of reflective time while waiting for mum for about an hour right... yeah. I was listening to hymns and just enjoing the so called quiet. Thinking of how i've made use of the past year. And about how God wants me to use his gift, thinking about how much I'm so grateful for my church, the fact that people actually look towards me when they need help. The fact that I actually might have been a totally different person, someone I would hate, if it weren't for church. How God's been so faithful, oh so faithful to me.
About how I aim to patch things up where I've caused a hole, about how I'm really going to treat my parents better, and be grateful that my mum is an awesome parent, because i see how other people turn out. Yeeeaah. And apparently she prayed for me that I'll come to know God better, and i did.
Aparrently this was me last time :"The only reason i go to church is because you're there"

Heeello. Raaah, my computer's really zonkers. I can't wait to go to church. Again. YAY! I can for the Christmas service, then cluster outing, then TNG then New Year's service! woohoo! Ehhh. My Christmas party ahhh. :( I'm so scared cuz i chum-ed everyone together, church and school friends.
What if its really awkward. We should play icebreakers or something, but i'm out of ideas, and i dunno if they're sporting enough! :( Hahaha. Yeahhh. and all the icebreakers i know are like made for over 40 people or something. Yep. So i'm stumped. I need to entertain guests and mingle and make them have fun, its CHRISTMAS.

Sugar on my tongue
Grace's farewell! :( Yeah haha. I was so so sooo hyper to get to church, like srsly. Then i realised I'm always the early one, so i was like oh CRAP. I forgot I had to wait for half an hour. HAHA. Yep. Then thankfully Alison came, I gave them Christmas Cards! They liked eeet. Oh. Yeah then Sarah came. Wahrao she super gangstah angsty la. Every sentence has some vulgarity in it. Wah at peace dude, pleazze.
Yeah, then Jamie, Alison and i were like, speechless, cuz she just kept going on and on and on. yep. Then it was super hot, when rachel came. yeah. So we went up to the rooftop place, and it was burning baby burning. Yep. Then MX overslept, so sad that Evelyn and Faith couldn't come for cell. I made their Christmas cards and not Lih Yu and she came la! :X
Our surprise party for grace failed! Cuz of MX's lateness, Rachel couldn't start. So when grace came, she was like, Oh i haven't arrived yet, call the girls go look for them. So she called me, then sarah answered my phone saying that i was in the toilet, and we are all such bad liars, and church is so small you can find someone like in a matter of minutes. Yep. So then we're like, we're at the grandstand the grandstand. but it's so obvious we weren't there, cuz you could see nobody was there from the canteen.
yep. Alisons a crappy liar as well. So we were shouting grace! grace! grace ang! (which she heard as AHHH!) and then she finally decided to come out, so we were like HI GRACE WE LOVE YOU come up here! :D hahah! yeah lol.
After church (I DIDN'T GET TO WISH PEOPLE MERRY CHRISTMAS CUZ WE WERE IN A RUSH) we were talking about prostituition in the car. I Dunno why okay. Yeah. We went to suntec for One Crazy Christmas. Saw Kimberly Ho. Haha. yeah. Stupid information lady, lol! :D Knywayz. I'm going to go eat dinner at Friends now. OH THEY SANG I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU DURING ONE CRAZY CHRISTMAS! :D

Eegads i've got to start linking people. yay i'm almost done with Christmas Cards. yeah. Erm... natalie's braces are so attractive ehhh! So cute, let's all close our mouths like her, and erm, like speak with a lisp, it's really cute la! Green braces somemore.
Yesterday I went to Borders and bought two Photoshopuser magazines, wah srsly damn cool i tell you. I have a sudden urge to be a photographer. I think fisheye lenses are darn cool. And i love junyi's camera.
Eh. anyway. I stayed up until 12 to make Christmas cards. yeaahhh. We attempted to Christmas shop but there was nothing nice. Justin went to Reuben's house. Again. Erm. Yeah. Thennn, we went for dinner at Por Por's houze.
So sad to say, I've completely lost my passion for blogging. I have so much to write down, and so much to say, but i don't know... I don't have the urge to go do it. I'm so sad about that. I just hope its a passing phase la okay. :(

Jordan Steve is in ACS (I), with Ryan, and is Reuben's brother who is also in OM, and is also coached by Jared's mum, their sister, Rachel is my cell group leader, and our brothers are in the same class.

Grounded.
Dang i'm freaking grounded. Rah. So i can't go out for two days, i can't go online for two days. Chris is helping me type from my phone, which will be taken away at 10pm everyday, so yeah... Haha kinda amazing what i did before, this year. Imma changed person. I can't believe the year is drawing to a close. Well, it was a good year, huh? I mean, all differences aside, you gotta admit, this year totally kinda rocked.
I loved the retreat. I love how you can see the closeness and stuff. I just love loving people, it makes you feel good. it makes you feel fufilled. (: Love ya'll.
I totally miss Jie... I can't believe she's gone. Can't wait til Chinese new year. Then we'll be together again. (: Christmas. Woohoo. Oh my. only 3 more weeks of holidays. I must make the most of it. Chris! We still needa do you know what. And and i wanna bake.
I'm very ambitious this year. Haha, I'm going to rekindle the art of piano playing, mum promised that I won't have to take piano exams (: But she had to announce it at the dinner table, and everyone was like OOOHHHHHH. We skyped jie. Col was wearing his "I'm working onn my six pack" tshirt. Heehee.
